France confirm final roster for Rio Olympics

BORDEAUX (Rio 2016 Olympics Games) - France will be competing at the Rio Olympics with the same team that played at last month's FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament (WOQT) in Nantes, the French Basketball Federation (FFBB) confirmed on Wednesday.
Although head coach Valerie Garnier had hinted at the possibility of making adjustments to the final roster for the Rio Games, she instead decided to stick with a team that played consistent and convincing basketball in going 3-0 at the WOQT.

The decision made in Bordeaux, where the team is currently holding a training camp, was followed by the announcement that France will face Turkey in a two-game warm-up series in Slovenia from 16-17 July.

Before the French travel to Rio next month, they will take part in a four-team international tournament in Newark, Delaware, Bridgeport, Connecticut and New York, against Australia, Canada, and hosts the USA.
At Rio 2016, France will open their Women's Olympic Basketball Tournament campaign in Group A against Japan, Brazil, Australia, Turkey, and Belarus.
