FIBA - U19 World Championship website launched

GENEVA (FIBA U19 World Championship) - FIBA on Wednesday launched the official website for this summer's much-anticipated FIBA U19 World Championship.

prague2013.fiba.com is your source for all the latest news and information about the tournament that will take place in Prague, Czech Republic (27 June-7 July).

The FIBA U19 World Championship is where the stars of tomorrow are born. Past editions of the tournament have seen a number of leading international players in the making, including Pau Gasol, Andrei Kirilenko and Juan Carlos Navarro (1999); Nicolas Batum (2007); Andrew Bogut (2003); Vince Carter and Wang Zhizhi (1995) and most recently Jonas Valanciunas (2011) to mention a few.

During the Championship, the website will provide full comprehensive coverage both on and off the court, with news, game reports, group round-ups, exclusive interviews, photos and videos.

Fans, members of the media as well as participating players and coaches can find all the information they need in the lead-up to this important fixture on the international basketball's calendar.

Before the tournament gets underway, the website will provide early previews of rosters, interviews with coaches as well as inside information about some of the star players to watch out for.

Travel advice and information about the host city Prague is also available and will lend a helping hand to anyone planning to attend.

Information about tickets as well as accreditation for members of the media interested in covering the tournament will follow shortly.

Lithuania are the defending champions, having won the last edition of the FIBA U19 World Championship in Latvia in 2011.
