Competition Network Structure
The structure of the worldwide Competition Network - composed of all FIBA Endorsed 3x3 events - is divided into seven colour-coded levels of tournaments, and which belong to three distinct competition types:
- FIBA 3x3 World Tour and related events
- 3x3 World Championship / National Team related
- Separate tours and standalone tournaments
FIBA 3x3 World Tour and related events
The FIBA 3x3 World Tour [black] sits at the top of an "open" network of FIBA endorsed tournaments, with the best teams from qualifiers held all over the world gaining a ticket to compete in the World Tour"s Masters tournaments and if successful, the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Final.
There are two types of competitions that qualify for the FIBA 3x3 World Tour, known collectively as World Tour Qualifiers: Challengers [red] and Quests' Final events [red].
Quests are a multi-tournament tours, with a set number of regular tournaments [brown] and a Final [red] that qualifies one or several teams directly to the FIBA 3x3 World Tour [Masters level].
Challengers [red] are single international tournaments that unite winners from lower level Challenger feeders [brown] from specific catchment areas/or geographical regions and that qualifies one or several teams to the FIBA 3x3 World Tour [black].
