3x3 basketball - Official equipment

The strength of the 3x3 format of basketball has always been how little is required to play. It can and should be played by anyone, at any time, anywhere.

But while playing will always come first and while 3x3 basketball can be played on multiple surfaces in multiple locations, equipment nevertheless has an important role to play in 3x3, especially in tournaments and elite level competition.

FIBA is in the process of developing equipment standards optimised for the practice of 3x3, including all weather and outdoor courts, backboards, basketballs and much more.

FIBA has teamed Connor Sport Court International, who have been FIBA Study Centre partners since 1994 and who will exclusively supply the courts for all official FIBA 3x3 competition, while continuously working on adapting and improving the surfaces for the practice of 3x3 basketball.
