3x3 All-Stars

The FIBA 3x3 All Stars is the season-ending event of 3x3 basketball and rewards the top players in the FIBA 3x3 Individual World Ranking from all around the world. It sees 8 teams meet on 18 November in Doha, Qatar, starring the:

#1 player in Europe
#1 player in the Americas
#1 player in Qatar
#1 player in the rest of the world
#1 team at the  FIBA 3x3 World Tour
3 Guest teams: FISU 3x3 World University League Winners, Dew NBA 3x winner and an All-Star Filipino team

The eight participating teams play a standard knock-out round which starts at the quarter-finals stage. The FIBA 3x3 Individual World Ranking is used to determine the teams’ seeding. The ranking points of each team’s 3 best players on the cut-off date are added up. Teams are then ranked based on their total team ranking and seeded as follows:

  • 1 vs 8
  • 4 vs 5
  • 3 vs 6
  • 2 vs 7

The final standings are calculated according to the FIBA 3x3 rules of the game. If teams are tied (in the case of the FIBA 3x3 All Stars) then the following criteria is taken into account:

1. Most points scored
2. Highest seeding

The FIBA 3x3 All Stars event will also extend beyond the games of the tournament proper, seeing the participating players take part in social activities, 3x3 clinics, exhibition games, welcoming top street artists and DJs, while - in keeping with FIBA's 3x3 For Everyone philosophy - spectators, basketballfans and passers-by will be able to participate in 3x3 games and tournaments.
