Hungary hosts successful U14 Get Together

BUDAPEST (U14 Get Together) – FIBA has concluded another successful U14 Get Together, with representatives from 32 countries present in Budapest, Hungary over the weekend.

Over 100 specialists who work specifically in youth basketball congregated on the Hungarian capital city for a number of theoretical and practical workshops, beginning on Friday morning.

Workshops included coaching clinics from local Hungarian coaches, and the theoretical sessions saw presentations focused on every element of coaching youth players, including the psychological side. This led to a number of fruitful discussions and opportunities to network.

The new FIBA coaching manual was also presented, by FIBA coaching specialist Veselin Matic, who was able to focus on coaching at U14 level.

The weekend concluded on Sunday, following Saturday night's traditional basketball game among participants, with a meeting of the FIBA Europe Youth Commission, who reviewed FIBA Europe's 16 continental championships, which took place in July and August.

The hosts of the 2018 Get Together will be announced in due course.
